What a difference a day makes

So my second ever blog and I am writing about the weather again! Bear with me folks , I'm new to this whole blogging thing. With a bit of luck they should get more interesting!

This time yesterday The St Jude's Day storm, with its 100mph winds,  was ripping its way across the South East of England , leaving four people dead , more than half a million homes without power and a trail of debris in its path. Instead of my normal sedate morning cycle to Westminster Bridge, I found myself clutching onto the handle bars as tight as I could, to avoid being blown into the darkest depths of The Thames, weaving my way through the broken tree branches and road work signs strewn along the route.

This morning it was like it never happened. A beautiful ,sunny , crisp autumn morning. With the only hazards being the usual - black taxi cabs, lorries and London buses! With the clocks going back it was clear I wasn't going to make it to Westminster Bridge for sunrise, but then as I passed Tower bridge I noticed the warm orange sunlight reflecting off The Shard so stopped to check it out. As it happened it didn't make a great shot , the composition just didn't work, but then I looked behind me and the sun was just coming up behind the bridge, and the shot was just there for the taking. You can never go wrong with a beautiful sunrise and a silhouette of one of London's most famous landmarks.
